Error uploading file
-
Hello! I see that .zip is an acceptable file format to upload to the Media Library but I get an error when I try to upload one. I see something about needing to upgrade to a larger storage capacity for large files, but the site in question has plenty of room for the file I want to upload.
My question is – does uploading a .zip file require me to purchase a space upgrade even if I have plenty of space available for it?
Your help is most appreciated!

What does the error message exactly say?
Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Safari or Google Chrome?

The error says this file type type is not allowed. It’s a 74.6 mb .zip file.
Your article on accepted file types says it should work but mentions a space upgrade. This site has over 3,000 mb available so there is plenty of room.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/accepted-filetypes/The same error happens on both Chrome and Firefox.
My question is, if I buy the space upgrade will it work or is something else happening?
Thanks!

Sorry about the confusion. The space upgrade is needed when you want to upload a zip file. Once you have that you won’t get the error. You can read more about the Space Upgrade at http://en.support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/
