  • Hello there,

    Many thanks for reaching out.

What is the update ran before receiving this error?

    Hi,
    Thanks a million for responding.
The only thing that I know is that I got an email from WordPress that my website got updated with the new version and after a while I got an email from Jet pack that my website doesn’t work.

I unfortunately don’t have any experience with coding or anything like that. I don’t have the developer I used to have before and I have to figure things out myself so please, I would really appreciate it if you could explain a little bit more what you mean.
    Thanks again.
    Artemis

  • Hi Artemis –

Your site is set up and running on a stand alone WordPress installation. That update has likely clashed with another functionality on your site, like another plugin.

What we offer here at WordPress.com is a managed hosting solution. We host your WordPress site. Our team handles all of the back end details like updates, security, spam, seo, and so on.. This leaves you to focus on the content and ignore the rest.

It sounds like WordPress.com’s managed solution is a better fit for your project and experience level. We can help you with moving the site over and then you would also get access to our team for support. When running a stand alone WordPress installation like you are working with now, there is no designated support or company behind that product. It’s a volunteer based network and help for it comes from https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ This is where you should post/search about the error you’re having now. We can’t actually fix it because we don’t have any access to the site.

Our hosting plans are visible on https://wordpress.com/pricing/ Let me know if you have any follow up questions about this information.
