Error when cropping header image

  Hi. When selecting a header image, I can select the image, but when it tells me to crop it, I adjust it, click the crop image button, and get the following error: ‘[Image Name] There has been an error cropping your image.’ I know that there are many other threads on this, but they haven’t been helpful. I’ve installed php5.6-gd. What can I do?

  Also, I am running the website locally on a LAMP configuration on a Raspberry Pi 3 with Ubuntu Mate 16.04. I do not need help with the website linked above.
