error when importing xml file to new host

    Hi, I have had a free wordpress site and would like to export it to my new wordpress server. and I have exported it to an xml file. I now try to import the xml file through the wordpress plugin at my new host (where I have my new wordpress server). I get the following error:

    Internal Server Error

    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator at (email visible only to moderators and staff) to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    any ideas what is wrong? how can I move forward?

    my site is : seslink.org (and used to be at wordpress with the free wordpress version)
