    I have a few problems with my blog. I can no longer find “links”. It used to be in the Dashboard, but it’s no longer there. Also I have my blog set to “infinite scroll” but it is not scrolling infinitely, and I have the “Default Post Format” set to “Image” but that is not working and I have to keep adding it manually. My blog is currently set to private and that’s why I have not included a link.

    Hi there:

    We’re making some changes to the navigation menus and the Links menu is not showing in the left hand options at the moment.

    Without seeing the site in question, I won’t be able to give specific links, but for now, if you’ll append /wp-admin/link-manager.php to the end of your site address, you can access the link manager there.

    I’ve passed along the feedback regarding navigation to our development team as well.

    OK but what about the “infinite scroll” and the “Default Post Format” problems that I have mentioned?

    The new editor no longer uses post formats.

    As for the scrolling issue, what is the URL of the site with the problem?

    So, the new editor no longer uses post formats, so why is it available as a selection of drop down choices? I chose “image” and have wasted hours trying to figure out why it won’t work.

    I now have yet another problem! A message keeps appearing on my home page telling me that my “cart is awaiting payment”. It states that I owe £36. This is supposed to be a free blog, so how do I owe £36? This is getting ridiculous.

    The blog is private, as mentioned above. The other staff member said she can’t see the blog (because it’s private). I assume that you can actually see it? https://odepix.wordpress.com

    Hi,

    You must have ended up with an upgrade in your cart somehow. You should be able to get rid of that by going to https://wordpress.com/checkout/odepix.wordpress.com and then:

    – Click “edit”
    – Click trash can icon
    – Confirm the deletion on the pop up

    Let us know if you have trouble.

    staff-ozmodiar thank you. Yes, I realised that my page jumps, just as I am about to add a new post, and I somehow clicked on the “upgrade” link. I didn’t click on anything else to purchase it though, but thank you for telling me how to get rid of it!

    That sounds pretty strange! If you want to send more details on that for troubleshooting, we’ll take a look.

    @supernovia the page just jumps as I put my cursor on Posts, and I end up clicking something else, rather than “New Post”. I now have to wait a few seconds before clicking on anything. This never happened with the old admin page. It’s the “upgrade” link loading, and it’s annoying. I also still have no idea why I can’t get “infinite scroll” to work.

    Can you let us know what operating system you’re using? I’ve not seen anything like this yet. If there’s any way you could get a video screen capture that would be helpful.

    @supernovia the page is not jumping today thankfully. Yesterday everything was going wrong, I couldn’t even upload images at one point. I’m just wondering though how many times I have to mention the problem with “infinite scroll” before someone helps me? Infinite scroll is “on” but it doesn’t work. Loading “older posts” is so outdated, who wants to do that these days?

    I think I have found the answer as to why my “infinite scroll” is not working. I did some searching in the forum and it seems that if the chosen theme has footer widgets, you cannot use “infinite scroll”. Is that correct? I am using a theme with footer widgets, so I am assuming that this is actually the problem here. Can someone confirm that please.

    Yes, if you have footer widgets set and if you have infinite scroll activated, you would never be able to view those widgets so you would instead see the “older posts” button or link. You can read more about this here:

    Once you’re able to show us the page jumping issue, please let us know! We’re not able to replicate that issue, so having a video screen capture would be most helpful.
