Errors when trying to download XML (WXR) file?

  I am trying to change a current WordPress.com URL to another WordPress.com URL. I am unable to complete the first step of the two-step process. In other words, I’m unable to download the XML (WXR) File to my computer. When attempting to do so, I get the following Error Message:

  ‘The XML page cannot be displayed
  Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

  I couldn’t find anything that addressed this issue either at support.wordpress.com or in the next line of defense: forums.wordpress.com.

  HI Jeff,

  The XML file shouldn’t be opened in the browser but saved to your computer.
  It is likely a large file, so no need to open it at all.
  If the browser insist to open the file when you trigger the export, you should try another browser.
