Hello,

I am using Escutcheon theme and have questions.

Making a blog is all new to me.

When I try using the social media block the social media icons will show but when I try to preview them they do not show? Does this theme allow only certain social media icons?

How do I move the search bar to the top of the page?

What do I need to do to be able to use rss and how to I post rss button?

Please tell me how I could change a page I have already created and use a block pattern without having to create a new page.

How can I change the leave comment to different words?

How do I make sure that the subscribe option is on each of my blog posts and pages?

brainbombsandchronicpain.wordpress.com is my blog I am asking these questions about.

The support page says this theme has Featured Images are displayed at 1080 with flexible height

When I try to add a feature image the dimensions are usually wrong please tell me how to adjust the images so they are the correct dimensions.

Please tell me how to make it so that the featured image does not show twice on pages and posts.

You need to embed a link on the block to connect your social media account before you can see the icon on preview. All social media block
will work in this theme.

How do I move the search bar to the top of the page?

You won’t be able to move your search bar in the free version of WordPress.com. To do this you’ll need to upgrade your plan so you can have access to CSS editing and other customization.

What do I need to do to be able to use rss and how to I post rss button?
To add rss feed to your blog click on Design → Customizer → Widgets → Add a widgets learn more from here: https://wordpress.com/support/widgets/rss-links-widget/

This mean your featured image size width should be 1080 px and the height can varies depending on your choice.

Please tell me how to make it so that the featured image does not show twice on pages and posts.
Delete the image from the the image from everywhere its appearing. Only add your featured image from the featured image up-loader option. More details on how to upload featured image: https://wordpress.com/support/featured-images/

Yes they function in the same way because the follower or subscriber will be notified each time you post a new content.

I do not see the meetings option. I did see a discussion option in settings in WordPress Admin but I did not see where to change the comments maybe I missed seeing it.

Do I need to include a URL in order for RSS widget to show? I am not able to see any of the widgets I tried to add. Please tell me how to be able to see them.

To resize the image so that it can be a featured image I need to use a photo editor and change the image to the featured image size and then upload to my media section in wordpress? Is this correct?

Sorry the word “Meetings” was a typo it was suppose to “Settings”

There are Two RSS feed widget from the RSS Feed Widget list
RSS → This is an entries from any other third party RSS Feed or Atom Feed.
You need to add a URL to the RSS feed you’re linking to before it can be displayed.

RSS Link → The RSS link connects to your own RSS feed, you don’t need an embed link to activate it.

No, this is WordPress dependent and not the theme. You can only add the social media sharing button available from the list.

(RSS)This widget displays rss feed from third party source inside your website.
For example adding an rss feed from your favorite news website will only display the rss feed from that website.

These are the buttons I was asking about it shows more social buttons than what I asked about before.

Since you’re using a free WordPress.com plan you’re limited to use certain features. That may be why you’re seeing few social buttons to add from the list.

what exact social links are you trying to add? Your plan has nothing to do with which services you can add.
