You can paste your feed embed link `https://brainbombsandchronicpain.wordpress.com/feed/ on feedly website which will generate an HTML code for you.

Where do I find the html code on the feedly website?

https://feedly.com/i/discover/sources/search/feed/Brain%20Bombs%20and%20Chronic%20Pain is this the correct html code?

The RSS Links Widget allows you to add links to your blog’s post and comment RSS feeds in your sidebar. This makes it easy for your readers to stay updated when you post new content or receive new comments.

does that link to my feedly feed or to my other posts on my blog?

feedly’s tool at https://feedly.com/factory.html I am unable to click on any of the buttons on that page. Maybe the page is outdated. If you know a more current page to use please let me know. I would like to be able to add a feedly button to my blog. If you know how to do so please tell me how.

I did this My Site → Pages→ Select any page → Add new block with the tiny black box icon→ Search for RSS

I used the rss block to add it. Now on the about me page it has links to my posts and nothing else. Is that what was suppose to happen?

Did you mean my site posts and not pages?

clicking the buttons on the factory page does not take you anywhere it's just for you to select a button that would be on your embed code
    Go to https://feedly.com/factory.html’
    Step 1: Select your design
Click on any of the buttons that you want displayed on you page after embedding.
Step 2: Insert your feed URL
Scroll below the page to paste your feed link https://brainbombsandchronicpain.wordpress.com/feed/
Step 3: Copy and embed the HTML code snippet
below you’ll see an HTML link generated for you automatically.
You can now go to your website to embed the HTML snippet.

used the rss block to add it. Now on the about me page it has links to my posts and nothing else. Is that what was suppose to happen?
    Yes

Did you mean my site posts and not pages?
You can put it where you prefer either Pages or Posts.

    I hope this helps.

Thanks for the instructions how to add HTML I was able to get that to work.

If you know why the button showing on my blog is not the button I chose on the feedly site please tell me. I wanted the button that says follow on feedly and that is the html I copied but instead follow is the button that shows.

    Thanks.

    @ryrhino00

Glad to hear you’re able to get the html button working :)

To get the right button please double check again maybe you have to re-visit the website https://feedly.com/factory.html‘ to generate the right button.

When you select a button in step 1 it will also be displayed on step 3 above the box that generates the html code. So make sure to select the right button before copying the html snippet.

Let us know if this helps.

I may have copied the wrong html. Now I have the feedly button I want to have.

Each new page or post do I need to copy the feedly html or is there a way to save the html so it will be on every post and page? Or is it already saved so that it will show?

    Thanks.

You have to add the feedly html button to your post manually.

I have reproduce this by viewing your blog on Vivaldi, Chrome and Brave browser it’s displaying accurately from here. It could be that those sponsored ads that are displaying on a free website where pushing them upwards a little.

When you did that did my blog look the same in all the browsers? If so I wonder why they looked the same when you viewed my blog and look different when I view it. It is not a problem just curious.

    Thanks.

@ryrhino00 — Yes your blog look the same across all browsers when I viewed it. You’re welcome, I hope you enjoy building your new blog.

If I want to add a block to the entire page that is already published for example add a column block how do I apply it to the entire post or page at one time or do I need to adjust each block by itself?

    Thanks.

  • Unknown's avatar

how do I apply it to the entire post or page at one time or do I need to adjust each block by itself?
Columns blocks has different sizes depending on your preference and you can adjust them also.

Please take a look at the illustration on the help documentation about adding column blocks: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/columns-block/#adding-the-column-block

I hope this clarifies your question.

@obt28 thanks for that link. you don’t quite understand my question it seems so I will try to ask a different way. I don’t want to add a column block I want to change my post so it is in columns.

if I want to change one or all of my blog posts to show in columns instead of how it currently shows can I do so by editing the whole post at once instead of editing each block? if so please tell me how to do so.

    Hope you understand.

    Thanks.

  • Unknown's avatar

@ryrhino00 sorry if i didn’t understood you correctly.

You’ll have to edit each block.
If you’re using a different block for example paragraph block for your blog and would like to change from paragraph block to column block you need to add the column block as a new block before adding your content on it.

  • Unknown's avatar

I understand that I would need to change paragraph block to a column block. Is there a way to copy the content from the paragraph block to the column block without needing to rewrite to content? Am I able to copy paste the content from paragraph block to column block? If so please tell me how to do so.

    Thanks.

You don’t have to rewrite your content again.

Am I able to copy paste the content from paragraph block to column block? If so please tell me how to do so.
If you want to use a paragraph block inside a column block for example.

You can create the column block first then add the paragraph block by clicking on the + icon inside the column block created and search for paragraph block.

You can copy and paste your content from your previous paragraph inside the column paragraph you’ve created.

    Thanks.

The info page for this theme shows a picture of a horizontal menu that shows all the links showing in a horizontal row.

    https://wordpress.com/theme/escutcheon/brainbombsandchronicpain.wordpress.com

How do I create a horizontal menu that the picture shows if this theme allows to do so.

Currently am only able to see a button that says menu and then my links to other pages and posts.

    Thanks.

  • Unknown's avatar
