Escutcheon theme questions

You can use Navigation Block for creating menu. Please see instructions from the help documentation: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/navigation-block/
I see the navigation block I don’t know how to change the current menu showing the button with the word menu so I can use the navigation block instead. I am unable to add the navigation block about the title of the page or post.
Please tell me how to do so. I did not see how to do so in the navigation help article.]
Thanks.

Hi there,
The menu you see at the top of the Escutcheon demo is not a navigation block. That is the theme’s primary menu. The navigation block is only used to add a menu inside a page itself.
You can create a custom menu for your site and set it as the primary menu from the Customizer:
I don’t know how to change the current menu showing the button
This theme automatically hides the menu behind a button on smaller screens. On a larger screen your site already shows the horizontal menu.
There is no way to prevent the menu changing to a button on small screens – that’s how this theme is designed to work.

Hi there, That’s a bit roundabout. Your WPcom website already has a built in feed at
https://brainbombsandchronicpain.wordpress.com/feed/ and that is what people who use feedly or any feed reader would add to their list of feeds. If I am able to add an inoreader button like I was able to do with feedly please tell me how to do so.
inoreader support told me to use https://www.inoreader.com/?add_feed=%s Where do I use this link?
Thanks.

Hi there,
inoreader support told me to use https://www.inoreader.com/?add_feed=%s Where do I use this link?
You can use the Text widget to add that link to your sidebar.

You can use the Text widget to add that link to your sidebar.
That is what shows when I use the text widget that does not seem right. Please tell me what I need to do. Do I need to use the html widget instead of the text widget?

That is just a link, not code for a button, so it’s expected to display the way you describe if you just paste that into a widget. Using a HTML widget instead of a text widget won’t make any difference.
To have that appear as a button, create a button image using something like Photoshop, Pixlr.com (online), or even Paint in Windows. Save that as an image file.
Then you can use an image widget to add that to your widget area. When uploading the image to the widget, look for the Link To setting and set that to Custom URL. Then you can paste your inoreader link there so make your image a clickable button.
