Essentially unusable; blog doesn’t include all posts, cuts off titles

    I am trying to set up a new blog about my science fiction/fantasy writing but WordPress is essentially unusable. I followed the directions by creating a page called ‘Blog,’ but only one of my two posts ever appears there and, in fact, the post title is cut off and does not appear.

    That is, when I tried to use a static page, there was no way to navigate to other pages. Trying to add a navigation menu did nothing. Then I tried to go to the blog layout (with a sticky page to introduce the site) but only one post would ever appear there. In addition, the title of the post was cut off from the top.

    Hey there, you’ve chosen Blank Canvas, which essentially lets you build your theme yourself using the full site editor. And you’re welcome to do that if you’d like:

    If you didn’t intend to start from scratch, would you consider using a similar FSE-friendly theme that isn’t mostly blank? For a blog I’d recommend Zoologist as a good starting base, but if you need more help let us know.
