EU cookie law compliance on WordPress.com site
-
Has there been any developments since 2012 in the ability for a site to comply with the EU cookie notification law on a wordpress.com hosted site. I see that a pug in is available for wordpress.org sites to make a pop up appear when a user logs into the site for the first time. In 2012, WordPress’s stance re wordpress.com hosted sites appears to have been to advise site owners to simply stick a Text widget onto a page or pages with a notification that cookies were in use. Is this still the position?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
We’re actively investigating this, but there are no current updates on our side. A Text widget is still the recommended method right now.
