Euros instead of Dollars, and Ads redirecting viewers

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, at least two people have notified me that upon trying to access my blog at geeklawjournal.wordpress.com, they were immediately redirected to another site by an advertisement. Is this allowed by WordPress?

Additionally, when trying to upgrade my plan to get rid of advertisements so that would not be an issue anymore, it was going to charge me in Euro.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, can you let us know on what device those two people accessed your site and was this within the last day or so? There was an ad issue reported a few days ago which to the best of my knowledge was resolved.

Regardless, I’ve tagged this thread for Staff attention. Thank you for your patience while they get back to you.

  • Hi there,

If you’re getting ads redirect reports from your site visitors, they can send us some information by filling out this form:

    About These Ads

That will help us track down the bad-acting advertisers, so that we can block the ads.

    Thank you!

@fstat – Thanks for that info. Should forum volunteers be directing users to use the form instead of replying to queries in the forums?

  • @justjennifer, No, this form is a more convenient way for visitors, so we don’t burden the site owner of getting the information from their visitors and relaying it back to us.
