Even after trimming the number of tags, why isn't my post showing in tag pages?

I believe I used too many tags on a post, meaning that the post did not appear in tag pages/tag searches. So I trimmed my tags down to fewer than 15 tags on the post. But six hours later, the post still is not showing up in tag pages/tag searches. Do I still have too many tags? What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

It looks like you have a combination of 17 categories + tags, which exceeds our limit of 15.

In the future, please keep your tags + categories under that limit and the posts should once again show up in the Reader.
