Eventbrite account can't connect to WordPress.com theme
-
Been struggling for three hours nonstop to connect my Multi event Eventbrite account to my Multi Event WordPress.com theme.
Support says i must go to Themes Option in my wordpress site, but i do not get that option!
Frustrating!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Have a look at these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/eventbrite/
You just need to go to the Sharing menu to link Eventbrite with your WordPress.com site.
-
I’m having the same issue with the multi event theme. I’ve connected to eventbrite through the Sharing menu, but none of my events are visible in the WP admin Appearance>Theme options page, nor do I have the template option when editing a page.

Thanks for flagging us, @fstat
@sigmaxiboulder I don’t see an eventrbrite connection on your account. Can you reconnect, or let me know which one should be connected?
-
@courttelevision on your site, can you go ahead and create a page to display the events on? The demo displays multiple events on the Home page, which is also set to the front page of the site.
Also can you confirm you have some events set up via eventbrite?
This particular theme has a setup page that’s only available here:

How do I reconnect?
I’ve removed and reconnected the account via the Sharing page. Is there another way? I did recently change my eventbrite password, but it still says that it connects on both ends.
Thanks!

On top of that, I’ve tried just copy and pasting the Widgets > Event Page code from the eventbrite’s site onto my wordpress site, and nothing is displayed except “powered by eventbrite”
-
@sigmaxiboulder sorry for the confusion. I suspect something got stuck when you changed your password. We’ll clear the connection from our end (I’m asking a developer to take care of that for us – will update here when it’s done) and have you try connecting once more. That should resolve both issues at once.
-
@sigmaxiboulder we actually don’t see any connections under this account at all, not even any from the past. Are you going to https://wordpress.com/sharing? What do you see there currently?
-
Also, to be clear, our built-in Eventbrite widget will work once you’re connected. The one from their site is for WordPress.org blogs.
-
In /sharing, under other connections, eventbrite is listed and it appears that I successfully connect. On eventbrite, it says that I’m connected, but that I connected 22 hours ago. When I tried the widgets on wordpress, and they still don’t work, but I’m not really interested in the widgets.
What I’m expecting with wordpress.com (which has worked in the past) is that I can create an event on eventbrite and the event will automatically post to wordpress. Is that possible?

yeah, there’s one live one called “The skinny on resistant starch: can it really help you lose weight and prevent cancer?”
-
If I log in as sigmaxiboulder and go to https://wordpress.com/sharing/sigmaxicuboulder.wordpress.com I do not see a connection there. Can you get a screenshot of what you see, and upload it to your media library?
-
-
Are we looking at the same site? https://sigmaxicuboulder.wordpress.com
I’m not seeing any media uploads there either.

-
Okay. Did you set up that Skinny on Starch event at eventbrite? If so you should be able to pick a page to display events on here.

I don’t see any events on the account though.
