Eventbrite page template on Shoreditch Theme?
-
Curious about something which happened when I was playing around with the Shoreditch theme just now (on my free plan)
In addition to the existing Default, Full Width and Panel templates, an option for Eventbrite Template appeared. I selected it to see what would happen (which wasn’t very much) so reverted the change. I then started to read up about Eventbrite, but in the meantime that template option has vanished.
Just wondering if I could get it back in the future if I decide I want to use it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Absolutely! The option of assigning the Eventbrite template will show up after you’ve connected your Eventbrite account to WordPress.com, as described here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/eventbrite/
Let me know if that documentation helps out or if you have any extra questions.

Thanks. Strange that it briefly appeared as an option seeing that I don’t have an Eventbrite account
-
Hm. That is odd. I haven’t been able to find any other reports or replicate the issue but, if it comes up again then let us know.

Hi there, I use the shoreditch theme and connected my eventbrite account, but the eventbrite template does not show up.
Any ideas? -
Hi sindyking – I’m seeing the Evenbrite page template on your static pages on sindyking.wordpress.com. Did you get this sorted?

Hi Guys, Having trouble displaying the eventbrites page template on shoreditch theme too, I have applied the theme to page https://shepparcon.com/tickets/ after following the support doc, everything looks to be linked correctly but it displays as though its on a mobile device (search and categories stretched to full page width on computer screen) and doesn’t fit the event window properly (scroll and allign hard left).
I would like it to display the same as the full width page template.
Cheers. -
looking on a mobile device, it does show the event properly, but none of my top or bottom widgets are showing up. (they are not present on desktop either)
-
shepparcon – thanks for the report, I’ll let our developers know and we’ll keep you posted here.

In the meantime, feel free to use one of the themes listed here:

Thanks Kathryn, I changed my side to the Edin theme, but it still dosen’t really display correctly. Is is a very thin window and still has the scroll bar in the eventbrite event itself, making it not look very embedded. do you have any suggestions to fix this?
Cheers. -
If i could get it to display the same as a full width template that would be fantastic really

Hi there – I did some testing and even if the Eventbrite template were as wide as the full-with template, there would still be some veritcal scrolling in the Evenbrite iframe embed, as you can see here: https://cloudup.com/cXl0zQiknop
I think EB may have changed the layout of their events since we launched this feature a while back, so that they take up more horizontal space, which is why you’re always going to get some scrolling now. I’ll ask our developers if there is anything else that can be done here and get back to you. Unfortunately, I don’t see a way around the scrolling at this point.

I just wanted to let you know that our developer made some changes to the Eventbrite template to better match their new event layout. It should reduce or eliminate the vertical scrolling, if you’d like to try the template again.

Howdy! Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. We’ve added better compatibility for Eventbrite display in the Shoreditch theme. I hope this helps!
Cheers,
Caroline
