Eventbrite & WP: No Events Listed, Connection Issues
-
We’ve spotted a number of other users having this same issue (here and here). We’ve tried removing (and then re-authorizing) the Eventbrite connection from WordPress and from Eventbrite, but it’s not resolving the problem: no events show up.
In the admin interface, under “Theme Options”, the Featured Events section shows a progress circle, but hangs indefinitely. Over the past 24 hours, the list of events came up once—but was gone after navigating away from the page.

Hi there, I’ve asked our Eventbrite developer to take a look at this. There is an underlying issue affecting some sites that is currently being worked on, but it’s not a simple fix so we don’t have an ETA at the moment. We’ll keep you posted here.

We are also having the problem at http://www.dogstorytheater.com and if it doesn’t get fixed today, we are going to have to get rid of the Eventbrite them and wordpress.com to something we have more control over.
PLEASE HELP or put pressure on them.
Thank you,
Joe

Hi Joe, I understand the frustration and I have been checking in with our dev frequently. I will be sure to update this thread with news.

Our developer Kirk has replied in another thread, but I’ll paste his comment here:
We’ve identified our isssues; Eventbrite response times combined with an API feature we use are now causing longer response times, long enough that WordPress is regularly timing out and returning empty results (hence your lack of events on your site).
We’ll be doing an update today or tomorrow to minimize the effect on WordPress.com and get things back to normal for our users, while Eventbrite works on their end to bring response times down for better performance overall.
Thanks again, our apologies for how long this is taking, and I’ll update as soon as we’ve rolled out the fix.
