Eventbrite/WP: no events listing

Frequently but intermittently: click on Events List or Events Calendar and it comes up blank. Re-load and it comes up fine. I am getting reports that this is happening from other teachers and students on multiple connections.
I have double-checked my “connection” from WP > EB and other settings, and they seem fine. EB says 1000s of others are using the EB theme without this issue, so I am not sure what – if anything – I am doing wrong.

Hi Jonathon, when you say:

Are you referring to the tabs in the sidebar widget or somewhere else?
Could you explain exactly what comes up “blank” – the widget area itself? Or do you mean that when you click on an event from within the list or calendar widget, the individual event page is blank?
To narrow down the issue, could you try another network – for example, if this is happening in your office, could you try your home or a café?

often come up blank except for the words No Events.When you refresh, they load and look fine.
It is frequent and intermittent, reported by others from multiple networks: right this very moment, it’s just fine.

Hi Jonathon,
Indeed, the call to Eventbrite is occasionally timing out, meaning the theme gets no results (and displays the “No Events” message you’re seeing). Why this is happening is not clear, however.
You did have an old setting stuck in your database, which I’ve removed; can you now go to Sharing (https://wordpress.com/sharing) for your account, then disconnect and reconnect to Eventbrite? This could solve it, or at least eliminate one variable. If you would like, more detail on connecting can be found on the Eventbrite support page.
Also, curious if you remember when you first noticed this problem, or got your first report of it?

I wish I could tell you with accuracy, but I can’t. Started in spring and has been getting worse over the summer. I first started contacting Eventbrite about it late spring / early summer.

I have no technical reason to suspect this, but I know I use only 2 locations but I have a bunch of locations saved that I am not using. Some of them are named the same thing and a couple are blank.
It’s a dumb hunch, but any chance that could slow it down and hang it up? Jonathon

This is still timing out the same way, I just got no events again on the events-list page.

I just found this thread as I am having the same issue…with my Attend Event page showing “no events listed” This has just happened with in the last few weeks, as customers have alerted me to it.
Also nothing I click on responds either…my site or my account??? -

It looks like this may be a combination issue with our caching, and less than great consistency from the API for response times. We’ll need more time on it, and will pick up on Monday. My apologies, and thanks for your patience!

Hi,
I have having a similar problem. I have authenticated eventbrite in Theme Options and it states it’s connected. It just seems to keep searching for events, they appeared and then they disappear. I have tried using different browsers, making the Eventbrite events public, deleting and readding the eventbrite account etc, but still no luck.

I’m afraid this is more time-consuming to solve than anticipated. One fix we deployed today did not go well and had to be rolled back, so we still have more work to do. Thanks for your patience so far!

I am sorry, but this is failing for me about half the time now, and if it can’t be fixed soon, I am going to have to relocate my ticketing operation.
Is there any sense it can be fixed? And when?

I’m sorry, but this is failing for long stretches at a time now, seems to be getting worse. Is there anyone I can talk to or anything I can do? It won’t be long till we have to move off Eventbrite and WordPress for the sake of our business.
