Events as post collections

    I would like to create a system that that allows the creation of an event. This event whilst being managed as a calender event, would also act as a collection of posts that relate to that event.

    For example, and event in the diary is created that represented a camping holiday, I would like to have that event show up in my calender so people could see when it was coming, and I could also make posts about what I want to do when I get there, what I am doing when I am there, and how I feel now I am back. In this way the Event acts as a collection of content with date relevance.

    I understand that this functionality is implied in the normal structure of a blog, however this is to be implemented on a multiple user blog, where many events my be going on concurrently, and posts are made about them by numerous people. Accessing content associated a specific event would allow for a much more coherent experience.

    Is there a plug-in that would allow for this?

    Is this something that could be developed?

    I think you’re in the wrong forum. Most of what you’re talking about isn’t easily doable on WP.com. Our calendar, for example, only displays days you’ve posted on. That is ALL that it does.
