Events Calendar Plugin

  We are looking at options to allow out primary “users” who are community agencies to post date specific events such as meeting in a calendar format. There seem to be a couple of plugins such as
  http://www.wp-eventscalendar.com/ who offer this. What is the chance that an events calendar could be added to the standard options? It seems that this might well be a popular option once it was available. From our point of view we would be willing to pay for this as a premium service.
