how do i get the banner to display on my blog, i’m using the ever after theme? When previewing it the banner is there but after I’ve activated it I have no image or banner. I’ve managed to insert an image but can’t find the banner, thought it would appear as a default?

Hi there,
Are you referring to the blue banner that says “a beautiful textured wedding theme” on the theme demo? http://everafterdemo.wordpress.com/
If so, that banner is appearing on your site, it’s just under the title.
I think part of the confusion is it looks like you added your image as as your custom header, which puts it above the title.
In the demo, the photos you see are featured images from “sticky” posts. They form a slider that switches between the images from the posts that are being highlighted.
If you’d like your site to look more like the demo, there are more instructions for how to do that here: https://wordpress.com/themes/ever-after/
If I’ve misunderstood and you were talking about a different banner, or if you get stuck on any of the steps, let me know and I’ll be happy to help.

Hi
How so very kind of you to respond and so quickly. I persevered with trying to find the banner after I posted my request and shortly after I worked out how to get it which is why it now appears on my blog. Many thanks for responding though, genuinely appreciate it and thank you for signposting me to the other instructions they’re really helpful. Have a lovely weekend :-) -
