Ever After theme: No custom colors although I already bought the bundle offer

    Hello there!

Today I decided to change the color of my fonts in my blog. Therefore, I clicked on Appearance and chose Custom Design so that I get to the relevant menu, but… when I clicked on Colors I could only see the sidebar on the left, the rest of the page was blank and the choices of the sidebar would not open.

It’s a WordPress.com blog but a few days ago I bought the Upgrade Bundle (incl.custom design) for $99.
Do you have any idea why this happens?

    Thanks.

I don’t know what this is happening and have flagged this thread for Staff attention.

    Hey there,

You should be able to customize your theme’s colors here:
    https://happypeoplehappyhomes.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php#color

If things aren’t functioning properly for you, can you please try clearing your cache and cookies? Also, can you let me know what browser and operating system version you’re using?

    Best,
    P.

I believe this is a bug, and we’re looking into it. It only appears to be happening in Internet Explorer. So what you could do is try using a different browser such as Chrome or Firefox to get around the problem until we can fix the bug.

PCRUMM — I’m considering upgrading the Ever After theme. If I do, would I be able to use the “halo Dandletter” and the San Serif Lane narrow” font? If it’s not already in wordpress, is there a way to add it?

If so, could you provide some direction on how to? I’m hestitate to upgrade until I know of this possibility.

You can use those fonts only if they are available through TypeKit Fonts. See here for custom fonts > http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/custom-fonts/

Just to follow up, the issue where live previews appeared blank in Internet Explorer was fixed a few weeks ago on September 4th.

Currently, there is not an option to add in external fonts. The Custom Design upgrade at WordPress.com comes with a selection of 50+ fonts which are served from Typekit. We may look at adding in more fonts, but it’s not something we have planned to do in the near future.

If using the “halo Dandletter” and the “San Serif Lane narrow” font are deal breakers, you’ll want to do a WordPress.org setup where you get complete control over all the code to make your own changes.
