Every caption showing dash before text Twenty Eleven

  On every caption under a photo it is showing a – (dash) before the text. Twenty Eleven profile. I’ve tried a preview of Twenty Eleven on another blog I have and it is the same.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I am using Firefox 7.0.1 and I see an image on the front page of your blog. However, I do not see a dash in the caption field.

  Which browser and version of it are you using? Have your tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookies

  Is your browser version up to date? You can upgrade any browser version here.

  I have cleared out my browser cookies and cache. I’m using Firefox 7.01. However, I’ve tried Chrome and IE also. I am using a desktop computer so just tried the three browsers on my laptop. Still the same dash. It appears to the left of the caption whereas the caption itself is centered.

  Hello again,
  I have clicked into several of your pages and cannot see a dash in the caption field on any of the images. Please post an active link starting with http:// to a page where you see a dash in an image caption.

  The moderator has told me that the dash before the caption is part of the Twenty-Eleven theme. Is there anyway I can edit the CSS to remove the dash.

  Thanks for that link. I spent my time clicking and looking on the blog linked to your username. I don’t help with CSS so I can’t answer your question. Another Volunteer or Staff will answer it for you.

  @maurterr You’re right. That’s intentional. If you’ve a custom-design upgrade then write this css code to your edit-css box: .wp-caption .wp-caption-text:before {
content: '';
}
