Every new page has gallery I cant remove

Every time I go to create a new page every looks fine, but when I preview the site, there is an additional gallery at the top of that page which I created in an earlier version. I cant see this gallery in the editing page though so unable to delete????
I have deleted all previous pages and started everything other than the home page again, yet the gallery is still there on any previewed new page.
Please help, this is very frustrating

Hey there,
It looks like the gallery was added to the top of your page template. This means each page with the page template will display your gallery at the top. We can remove the gallery from the template using the site editor.
To do so, open the site editor by visiting Appearance > Editor from your site dashboard. Next, open Templates > Page or click here to edit the template. From here, you will see your gallery, and you can remove this section so it will no longer appear at the top of your other site pages.
