Every time I try to access my website via admin user I get an error message

Hello, I have searched far and wide for a solution to my problem. Every time I want to access my website from an admin user it props up a 500 internal server error message. Here is the full message:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.Please contact the server administrator at (email visible only to moderators and staff) to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

500 Internal Server Erroris a server-level error message and you should reach out to your host Hostgator for help with this issue.
