Hello, I have a few questions.
1. Is there any way I can start working on a website and putting it together before I pay to see if it works?
2. How does the E-commerce work? Do you all get a percentage of all sales? How do I set it up? and is there anyway I can put a donations category on the website where people can choose to donate or buy a game?
3. What are all of the analytics that the website would take care of tracking with the premium plans.
4. If I start at the simplest plan, can I upgrade to the highest plan mid month?
5. Do you have a number where I can just speak to someone to answer my questions?
6. Will shipping costs calculate automatically with your e-commerce software.

Kindof! You are free to start working on a website. You’ll have access to whichever features your plan supports:
https://wordpress.com/pricingI’d recommend starting with editing the front page (or starting over with blank + block patterns as needed.) You can customize the content, and add other pages as needed. When you’re ready to add a cart, you’d need to add the plan.
How does the E-commerce work?
It depends on how you set it up. If you’re selling multiple games, I’d recommend a cart system. And you can add a donation option to that:

We do have our own Simple Payments block, which is not a full blown cart. This can work well for sites with just a few products and predictable shipping that can be flat rate. And the Simple Payments block has its own fee schedule here:

We do have support for some other stats systems (like Google Analytics or Cloudflare) with paid plans.

Sure, you can upgrade as needed and we’ll prorate any further upgrades. We don’t prorate downgrades though. And downgrades can be tricky, too, especially if you add outside themes and plugins. Those will only work on the Business and eCommerce plans. So you’ll want to keep that in mind.
5. Do you have a number where I can just speak to someone to answer my questions?
We don’t, but we do have direct support with our paid plans, including chat-based support with Premium+ annual plans.
6. Will shipping costs calculate automatically with your e-commerce software.
By default you’ll have a few shipping options, none of them auto-calculated. But there are a lot of ways to ship, and you can choose which extension works best for you:
