everytime I get a new followers one follower drops off

  I have been chasing 500 followers for over two weeks now. I started at 495 and since have had around 7 new followers and am now at 496, it is possible that people have stopped following me, but the chances of them stopping following me at the exact time a different person decides to follow me is remote
