Assuming you’re referring to Edin, running on https://balancebiomechanics.wordpress.com/ – is that right?
Which image is getting cropped, could you provide a link to it? I see this image set as the “hero area” featured image on the homepage, but the original is only 784 by 295 so I’m not sure that’s the one you mean:

That was one I cropped to estimated sizing. The original one I wanted is this one https://balancebiomechanics.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/site-welcome.jpg
Are there specific dimensions for the “hero” area?
Also, my site viewed on my phone is non-existent, can you help me with that?

When using the “boxed” layout (as you are, since you’ve chosen a black background colour) the width of the hero area is 1230px on large screens. The height depends whether you have content in your hero page or not — it will be taller to accommodate any content. If you don’t add any content, like your site at the moment, the height will be 360px for visitors (and 384px when you’re logged in and see the Edit link.)
One thing to keep in mind is that the hero area uses the featured image as a background image that is cropped in different ways on different screens. For this reason, it works best with an image that’s flexible, and usually without text.
Also, my site viewed on my phone is non-existent, can you help me with that?
I’d suggest deactivating the separate mobile theme by checking “No” next to “Enable mobile theme” at
https://balancebiomechanics.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=mobile-optionsThe mobile theme is intended only for older, non-responsive themes. Edin is a modern responsive theme that automatically adjusts to devices of all sizes, so the mobile theme isn’t recommended.
