Excerpt

  When I copy the link to my blog and copy it to a Facebook page or group. The FB page displays the Icon image and ‘Blog’ and below that ‘This is an excerpt from your blog’

  When I look at the actual post the title and excerpt are the ones I entered. WHy don’t they display when I post the URL to FB?

  I have my blog set up to automaticlly post to my own FB page, It doesn’t display the excerpt I wrote but the first few sentences of the post.

  Tried to switch to the Edin theme but nothing changes.

  What is the ‘tag line’ for if it never shows up on the blog page anywhere?

  Why won’t the automatic connection to Linked in work? It keeps telling me I haven’t entered a verified email. I know the email and password I am entering are correct.

  SO far, WP is not even a little bit impressive. I can write 2000 word posts in an hour and spend 5 hours just trying to fix stupid little WP problems

  I probably should have said “URL” not “link”. When I tried to copy my URL and paste it into FB I got that bizarre result. Least of my worries. I just built and About page for my site and somehow managed to blow away ALL of the sidebar widgets I spent all day yesterday trying to get working and looking half way decent. Is ALL of WP products this weird to use? I need to build a website I can eventually monetize and I sure don’t need apparently random things blowing away my work

  @tied4time2 if you paste the URL here it will make a link, so no worries there; I understood.

  Re: the sidebar widgets: are you using My Site > Customize and saving the widgets as you go? Can you try editing one and saving it?
