Excerpt bug in Facebook

Hello everyone, when I share my blog on Facebook, the excerpt is the standard ‘This is the home page’s except’, not the text that is actually presented in the expert section. Does anybody know how to fix it?

Open up https://wordpress.com/pages/theindependentpilot.wordpress.com and find your homepage (represented using home icon). Click on the three dots one the same to open the page editor.
Once the editor screen is open, click on the ‘More Options’ tab on the left-hand side. You will now be able to edit the homepage excerpt for your site.
Don’t forget to click the update button to save changes. -
Thanks for your reply.
I did this yesterday, updated and saw that it didn’t change anything. So I did it once more, still didn’t work and I left it for a day. It still didn’t work. Not sure what else to do.

Hi there,
Link previews sometimes become stuck in Facebook’s cache. I ran your home page URL through Facebook’s debugger, and it’s now showing your excerpt.
If this happens again in future, you can find the Facebook debugger here:
