Excerpt help needed

  I want to use Excerpts as some of my posts are long and will lengthen the page, but I also want to use a theme that does not support it. Am I stuck to my current theme or is there a way to change it for other themes. Thank you.

  you could use the more tag for long posts

  (Grammar alert) Your is possessive. You’re is a contraction, short for you are. So in this case, it should be you’re not your. (/Grammar alert)
