Excerpt length on Theme Twenty-Twentyfive

    We are trying to change the length of the text in the ‘excerpt’ block, but it seems that this theme does not allow this either in the block editor or with the following code:

    function twentyeleven_excerpt_length( $length ) {
    return 40;
}
add_filter( 'excerpt_length', 'twentyeleven_excerpt_length' );

    Do you have any suggestions?

    I’d like to confirm the theme you are using – TwentyTwentyFive or Twentyeleven as in your code snippet?

    For TwentyTwentyFive, you can edit the excerpt length from the code editor or the block settings directly.

    Hi,

    In other Theme there is a Block control panel like your example ……. but in my control panel there isn’t nothing to control the max number of words.

    Why there is difference between control panel if we have the same theme ?

    Also in FSE Template editor the Block Excerpt is without possibility to change the length of text.

    Hi @gsmmzl!

    It looks like the “Settings” option is not available there for you, only “Styles”. See below for what you should expect to see: Two “tabs”:

    If this is for “innovacheck.net“, hosted with WordPress.com, I checked the site just now in the Site Editor and I see the Settings tab there on a Template I checked. If you still cannot see it on the Template you’re working with, could you please share the Template name, or direct URL to it so we can inspect closer?
