Excerpt of featured posts not showing on front page Textbook theme

  Hi, the textbook theme is near perfect for me, except for one tiny error.
  Unless it is my mistake of course. (duh) My posts have excerpts, but they are not shown on the front page where the featured posts are, they show the first lines from the post and not the excerpt. Can anybody help? Or is this just simply not possible with the textbook theme? Thanks.

  Your site is private so I cannot view your site. (Volunteers cannot view private blogs and we Volunteers do not request access to them.)   Hi Marcel,

  My posts have excerpts, but they are not shown on the front page where the featured posts are they show the first lines from the post and not the excerpt.

  The Textbook theme supports excerpts but they automatically created based on the contents of your post.

  The theme doesn’t support custom excerpts added via the post editor — which is why the excerpt you have added to ‘Grinding My Gears: Slow Drivers And Murderers’ isn’t showing up.
