Excerpt of Page in Home Page
-
I want to include pages such as “about” on the front page of the website, however I don’t want to display all of the text I’ve included in the page. How do i make it so that on the front page, there is only an excerpt and you can’t see the entire post until you click into the page?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi corplexpreview,

The Twenty Seventeen theme doesn’t offer a built in way to do this, but I can recommend a few options.
The first would be to upgrade the site to Premium or Business, because that allows the use of Custom CSS. With that, and a little extra HTML, we can tell the home page to hide certain parts of content from your selected pages. When visitors go to the actual page, all of the content will remain.
We offer CSS help here:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postformThe other option is to make two versions of each page. One version would be for the home page, and the other would be for the full content. You would put links to the full versions in your site’s menu, while the shortened versions would only be featured on the home page.
