Excerpt/social post glitch?
-
This may be more of a tech problem, but when I write a blog post through WordPress.com and go to set an excerpt, I move my mouse inside the excerpt box, and then click to open the text box. But the cursor immediately disappears and I can’t type. I have to hold down the button on my mouse and type at the same time which is very inconvenient. What’s going on?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
That’s odd! What browser are you using? You can check it from https://www.whatismybrowser.com/
Were you able to test this from another one? Does the issue persist then?
-
The issue occurs on iPhone safari, Mac safari, firefox, and chrome. Those are the four I have tested

I’ve had another look at your account and I was not able to reproduce the error. I was able to create a manual excerpt without any issues.
What I’ve done was to click once on the Manual Excerpt button to open the option and then I started writing inside the box.
It sounds like a local issue although it surprises me that you mentioned your iPhone as well. Can you describe your process so that we can understand better what’s going on?

Hi again,
So when I click on the Manual Excerpt button section, nothing happens. I can’t write in the box. Here’s a video of what I’m seeing: https://imgur.com/a/VMmFrGj

Hi there,
This looks like an issue with your browser. Please try the following:
* Clear your browser’s cache:
* Check that JavaScript is enabled and supported by your browser:
* Disable any ad-blocking and security extensions on your browser
* Check that you’re using the latest version of your browser:
* Try another browser:
If all of the above doesn’t work or you have more questions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help!

I tried all these steps in Safari and it didn’t work. However, it did work in Chrome, Firefox, and Opera, so that’s a good start. Buy Safari is my primary/default browser so it’d be really nice to get it working there. Next steps?
