Excerpts AND more-button

  Hi there,

  I already found out how to create/show excerpts. But is there a way to display the more-button together with an excerpt text?

  Hi natalie173. Dyad 2 automatically generates a Read More button when a post is long enough. As far as I can tell it’s not designed to work with excerpts, however you can trick it into giving you a button if your excerpt is long enough. In this case it took me 14 lines and a total of 321 characters before it successfully faded into a Read More button. It did fade the last few lines of my excerpt, though, so make sure any pertinent information is within the first 200 characters.

  lastfarthing’s advice is good!

  The “read more” button only works with automatic excerpts. When you add custom excerpts, you need to click on the post title to read the full post.
