Excerpts and password-protected posts
-
Is there any way to allow excerpts to show up on the home page for password-protected posts? It seems requiring passwords for any given post cancels out the excerpts by default—the text under the headline then reads “There is no excerpt because this is a protected post.”
I want to override this so excerpts appear regardless of the password, but I can’t find a way to do so from the admin page. Thanks for any help/insight you can give me.

Oh well … Is there any way to make it possible? And would it be possible under either a Business/Premium account or if I self-host using WordPress.org?

There are no upgrades here that will do what you want to do. As for WordPress.ORG you will have to ask there. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.
