Excerpts in Hero theme

  How do you create excerpts in the hero theme? Also, why does my featured image not show up on my post?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  While editing or creating a post, you should see a box towards the bottom of the page labelled ‘Excerpt’. If you do not, then click on ‘Screen Options’ in the top right and check the ‘Excerpt’ box. It should now show up.
  Then, just paste in or write your content in the excerpt box.
