excerpts in wordpress.com

    how can i use excepts in my post ? … basically i use wordpress.com which is free.

    Seems like your blog page already is showing excerpts.

    There are a few ways.
    1. Use the More tag. Insert it at any point to show the ‘continue reading’ link for the full post.

    2. Use the Excerpt section on the left hand side when editing/adding a post.

    3. Some themes by default show only excerpts on the blog page. If you’re not using such a theme, it’s not possible to automatically set your front page to show excerpts of specific length.
