Excerpts not displaying on front page

Hello!
I’ve created excerpts for two my posts to display but strangely it is not displaying on the front page for my visitors.
I do not want to use the ‘See More’ function.
Is my problem caused by my theme?
Please Help :(The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no universal setting for excerpt display on the front page.
Although you can set your RSS Feed to summary, that setting here > Settings > Reading is only for the RSS Feed summary and does not affect the posts.
When it comes to inserting “the more tag” AKA “the read more tag” into posts to shorten front page display be splitting text there is no universal setting for the whole blog. This is done post by post.
If you want to display only excerpts on the front page of the blog followed by read more links, you can insert “the more tag” into each post prior to publication.

The split in the text does not display to you in preview mode but it will be there after the post is published.

I don’t want to use read more tags because it doesn’t appear for some reason. It’s strange because I followed the instructions shown in your link exactly. -

It would appear the the Eighties theme does not support excerpts.
I was able to use the more tag successfully with the theme however – did it not work for you?

Hello sir thanks for your reply! The <more> tag doesn’t work. I tried placing it in my post but it doesn’t pop up unfortunately..

Did you click it from the toolbar, or did you manually type in the code for the tag?
I was able to do it on your theme, selecting it from the toolbar and it worked.

That was a very quick reply! Yes sir I selected it from the toolbar and saves but I still don’t see it on my post :(
