Excess views from one visitor…kinda panicking now

    Hi, I have noticed that recently there have been a couple of days where I have a small number of visitors compared to the number of views from one country. The country is Romania and it now says i’ve had 720 views from them but a total of 12 visitors on my site and all the views are just to my homepage/archives. This has jumped up by 500 views since i started typing this? Is someone trying to hack my site?
    Has anyone else seen this before?

    Hi @acreativeruse, they wouldn’t be able to hack your site by looking at it, so no worries there. If one person found your site and scrolled through your blog, that would count as one visitor with many views.

    Given that you’ve had that many views though, my guess is that you’ve got a search engine “crawling” through your site, and it’s just not showing up as one.
