Excessive ads no approved
-
Hello
There are excessive ads on my website. I did not approved these to be on my site and there are far too many. Please remove all ads from my site.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
Adverts now appear in the sidebar as well as beneath posts on free WordPress.com sites and I’m afraid the only way to remove them is by upgrading to a paid plan. https://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/

is there any way to have ads on the bottom or somewhere other than directly across my blog writing ? its very aggressive and you cant see my blog
-
waynerigley – That’s not normal. Could you provide a screen shot and site URL so I can have a look?

@waynerigley
You can use http://snag.gy/ or http://cloudup.com to share screenshots and link to them here. If you use the WordPress.com guide for screenshots http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/ you can and upload it to your Media Library, and return to this thread to provide the file name so Staff can examine it.

I sent an email with snapshots and a video of the mobile view. There are 5 ads with none of my blog. the desktop view puts three add all throughout my blog. -
Hello,
I have below snaps of on a desktop view and I have attached the mobile view. As you can see they are excessive, obnoxious and disturbing. The mobile view is the worst! I am not receiving any money for them putting ads on my site and I want these off as they are unapproved.

@kirsteneslade Looking at your site when logged out of WordPress.com I just see the usual amount of ads that are now the norm for free sites. Two below your first post and one in the sidebar. Clicking on any post title shows two more ads at the bottom of the content of that post. An upgraded plan would give you the option to remove all adverts. The ads currently displayed on free sites however do vary depending on who is looking at your site and what country they are based in. If you think an ad is not suitable for family viewing then add a screenshot to your media library and a member of staff will be able to see.

Hi
The desktop view is not as obnoxious as the mobile view. As there is no side bar it pushes that ad to the bottom so that ads are stacked. There are not three ads in mobile there are 5 ads. that is excessive.
-
I’ve come to accept the ads as a price worth paying because I’m grateful that WordPress.com have provided me with a my own free corner of the Interweb for so many years. I must say I have to agree that stacked ads don’t look pretty on small screens. I think what makes it worse is that often the exact same ad is repeated in each slot.

kirsteneslade – It does sound like the ads are out of place with your current theme on mobile view. They shouldn’t infringe upon the space where your content is…
