Exclude Page Id’s/New Menu Option in Appearance

I used to us the “exclude Page ID” option in Appearance of Vigilance options. Now this doesn’t exist and I can’t figure out how to use the Menu option to manipulate which pages appear or don’t appear in my Nav Bar. My blog is private, so can’t provide the url. But hpw can I EXCLUDE pages from my Nav Bar using the Menu option? Please help. Thanks!!!

We can’t help without the URL of the blog in question, starting with http. We won’t be able to look at the blog, but we can tell certain things about it just from the URL.

sacred path: i tried your good suggestion in the first place but somehow no pages were exluded. the header looked the same as before the custom menu creation. hm….

Could be you were looking at a cached version of the page; as well, sidebars are cached and can take up to a half hour to update. Give it some time and in the meantime, do the Cookie Dance:
Log out, clear browser cache and cookies, and restart the computer.

If you created a custom menu, make sure you have selected that menu in the “Theme Locations” dropdown.
