Excluding images from slideshow
-
Hi, I’m having immense problems trying to insert a slideshow in a post.
For this post I have uploaded some images which are displayed directly in the body of the post, and then there are others which I want to appear as a slideshow.I see the option to put the images in “Menu Order” so I’ve numbered them 1, 2, 3 etc but what about the images I don’t want to include in the slideshow? I tried giving them a 0 but they still appeared.
How can I exclude them?
Any advice would be most appreciated.

In this particular case, you may have to make the slideshow on another platform like Slideshare.com and use the shortcode to post it here. That way it will include only the images you want.

Bonjour,
I had the same problem and thanks to french forum I could do this using WordPress functionalities without external platform.
1- you choose and number your images for the slideshow in the way you did and erase all the others in this gallery (be sure that you have a copy somewhere !).
2 – to include fixed images in your post, you will have to use a URL adress. It could be a direct link from ImageShack but it can be the URL adress of any image of your own Media–>Library. So put your images Media ->Add new in another window. Copy the URL adress when you click on one of them and paste it in your post.
It works.Voilà. Au revoir. -
