Excluding tags
-
I’m trying to go through my posts and make sure everything is tagged correctly. There are a couple of tags that every post should have one of (the ‘about’ tags). Is there a way of doing a search, or adapting the tag cloud, or anything, that will let me see ‘posts that do not have either of these two tags’?
The site I need help with is mystingsarchiveunofficialcollection.wordpress.com.

And of course I immediately find the setting I need once I asked.
The blog posts block has an option for excluding tags.

Hi there,
You can exclude posts with certain tags from being listed in the blog posts block, yes. To be clear, that will prevent posts themselves from appearing in that block.
You can also prevent tags from appearing in the tag cloud widget if you’re using that:

I’d recommend you use categories for those, rather than tags. Categories are for high-level organisation of content on a site, i.e. for organising posts by topic.
Tags should be considered more as keywords unique to a specific post.
