existing domain

    Hello. We already have an existing domain but I want to be able to edit the site on WordPress. Would I have to start from scratch? Or would I already have what is there? Also, when I try to add the domain it goes straight to paying. But the domain is already paid for.

    Hey there, if the domain is already paid for, you’ll want to use domain mapping (or a transfer) instead:
    http://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/

    You will still need a paid plan here, though. A personal plan gives you the ability to map or transfer a domain, hosting, private support, and several other built-in features. Or you can choose one of our other plans:
    https://wordpress.com/pricing

    And all of these (except a domain transfer, if you use that credit) can be refunded within 30 days, or upgraded later if you prefer.
