Exiting the custom design preview

  The exit button on the custom design preview does not work. I have unsuccessfully made several attempts to exit the custom design preview. Each time I click the button, it re-routes me to an error page.

  What does the error page show? Is there a particular message that it displays?

  Please try this. To go back to the free options, go to Appearance → Themes → Customize → Colors and click the “exit the preview” link in yellow at the top of the panel on the right.
