Expanding width of content?

For some reason I seem to be having trouble just expanding the width of my blogs content tonight so my photos don’t cut off. I’ve never had this problem before so I don’t know if I’m just having a CSS mindblank or if something just isn’t working, but it seems that everything I try has no effect on any of the widths.
Can anyone tell me real quick how to do this? I thought maybe it was just the max width of the theme I am using, but I’ve been using this same theme for years & changed my layouts around a zillion times with different content widths.
Eeep! I’ve had a hunt around the forums but can’t find anything that will work..Im sure its a 2 second fix, for some reason it just ISN’T happening for me tonight. Can anyone help? Apologies for my ignorance!

If you are talking about this site, http://lickmycupcakes.com/ , then the following increases the width over what you have by 100px. You increase or decreae each of the below by the same amount.
`#page {width:906px; }
#sidebar {margin-left:645px; }
.narrowcolumn {width:550px; }’ -
Thanks so much! I think I was leaving the sidebar increase out, it was later *headslap* :)
