Expansion of iPad Format

Would it be possible to expand the formating of WordPress sites for iPad to extend to other devices such as the HP TouchPad which shares the same screen resolution? It would certainly help as currently such devices are becoming quite widespread now and could help promote blogs

At this time, the iPad theme is only compatible with iPads. I’m not sure if there are plans to change this, but that does sound like a good idea.

I can certainly appreciate the difficulty in applying this to Android devices due to the multitude of screen resolutions. However, I know the HP TouchPad has the same screen as the iPad (as in genuinely, it’s exactly the same screen as the iPad 1) and the browser is easily identified as both YouTube and Google Search have specific channels for it. In theory it would require only a little additional coding to add the device as all that’s needed is to recognise the device and send it to the same place an iPad would go.
