Expired domain

Hi,
Unfortunately my domain name expired before I had a chance to renew it. Can someone please tell me what I need to do to reactivate it? I cannot find it available now when I log in.

leannefaulkner.com expired on 2016-12-18 and is currently in the redemption period.

The good news is that you can still try to recover your domain as it has not yet been deleted, purchased by someone else at auction or sold on back-order. A late renewal fee of $80 will be added to the regular domain renewal cost of $18 and private registration cost of $8 (if you still wish to keep it).
If you agree to these costs I can generate a payment request for the amount. Once that has been paid, we can start the process of trying to get your domain back. Should the recovery fail after you’ve paid the redemption fee, that fee is refunded in full.
If you do not want to pay the fee, you can wait until the domain is released but you may not be able to get it back if it is purchased at auction during this time.
Acting quickly is important if you do want to try and recover the domain, so please let me know what you would like to do as soon as you can.

Good news! We were able to recover your domain and it is now active on your site :)
The last step is to verify the domain email address. Please check your email account for an ICANN verification email and follow the instructions. This email was sent to the email address you added as the contact email for the domain.

Hi Leanne,
The contact email address for the domain is different to the one you are using for your WordPress.com account. You can double check the email address in the Domains section of your account:
https://wordpress.com/domains/
Click on the domain then Contacts and Privacy > Edit Contact Info.
Can you also search your email account for ‘secureserver’ and see if anything comes up?
