When a domain expires, it then goes through a process that can take several months to complete described at https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/.
If you are in the grace period you will not have to agree to pay a redemption fee set by the domain name registrar that wordpress.COM staff cannot waive.
Otherwise, if you want Staff to try to recover the domain for you then you will have to agree to pay the redemption fee.
If you’re logged into the account that is associated with your expired domain, they will look up its status and get in touch with details.
If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies prior to logging into the associated account, and provide the domain URL here.

Hi –
It wasn’t possible to transfer eatsleeptravel.net since it had expired and was no longer active on your account.
The first thing that needs to happen is to have the domain restored an re added to the account so that it is active again. I’ve gone ahead and done this. Also, you’ll need to pay for the domain renewal and I’ve emailed a payment link to do that with.
Once the payment is made you’ll be able to transfer the domain registration to a new provider by following these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transfer-domain-registration/
Write back with any other questions. Take care!

Hey, thanks for all the help! I really appreciate it!
I’ve paid for the domain, but I’m getting a notification showing that the site cannot be accessed. What can I do from here?

Thanks for letting me know. I am able to load the site now. Could you take another look at it for me? Thanks :)
